CharacteristicsThe TUBABOS pads are reusable, washable (machine or hand-washed) and are very easy to take care. They are an excellent alternative for gauze and tape. The use of a lingerie bag in a gentle laundry load is recommended. Allow them to lay flat to air. MaterialEach TUBABOS tube pad is hand made with love and care. A TUBABOS tube pad has three layers of fabric for comfort and function. Fabrics for TUBABOS tube pads are chosen with care to make sure they meet the stringent requirements such as comfort and absorbency. 1. The top layer of colorful and cheerful cotton. That makes them nice and daily care is a lot more fun. For specifications look also to the product description.2. For the wicking inter layer I use flannel molton. Molton is 100% cotton with excellent absorbing property.3. It has a soft, white cotton flannel molton against the skin for wicking to keep the stoma site dry and clean. TUBABOS offers a inner layer of polyester fleece or of molton. Fleece is a synthetic fabric that is thin, soft and stretchable. Fleece don't brew and has the property to transport any escaping moisture to the inter layer. This keeps the skin dry and prevents irritated skin by leaks. Both materials, flannel and fleece feel pleasantly fluffy and soft. ClosureTUBABOS pads are secured with a white plastic snap with no hassle of needing to remove the pad for testing such as MRI’s and x-rays.TUBABOS offers two types of closures on: the classic plastic snap with the button on the tube pad or the unique label closure designed by TUBABOS. TUBABOS invented the label closure for an even better fit. Here is the button is on cotton twill tape. Through this the TUBABOS tube pads lay even flatter and better on the belly, thus giving a better comfort.TUBABOS is the first and only who is also offering the label closure for tube pads.Recently, TUBABOS introduced the Easy Pad©. This tube pad fits excellent around the tube without the use of buttons or other closures and is therefore even easier to use. I often created adapted toys, clothing and accessories for my son Okke. Okke has become five years old. In all those years we have received lots of love, support and help from family, friends, professionals and from the international BOS family.
